Miriam Craven, Chief Operating Officer

Miriam Craven is the Chief Operating Officer for Social Security Scotland and reports directly to our Chief Executive. 

The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for overseeing the corporate performance of the organisation, including establishment and monitoring of performance measures and improvement plans. This includes managing the main operational delivery areas of the organisation - Client Services Delivery and the Health & Social Care Division.

Prior to taking up this role, Miriam was Director for Ukraine Resettlement at the Scottish Government and was Head of Local Delivery at Social Security Scotland from 2017 to 2022.
