Overview
Do you have experience leading and aligning content activities taking a user-centred, evidence-based approach to content design? Do you have excellent editorial skills that helps your team design and develop content that is easy to understand? Can you develop content design capability and assure content design best practice?

If so, our lead content design role could be for you.

A content designer works on the end-to-end journey of a service to help users complete their goal and government deliver a policy intent. A lead content designer is an expert practitioner who directs a team of content designers, and assures the quality of content design across teams and the alignment to strategy. They work closely with service managers and senior stakeholders to resource teams, resolve problems and develop future projects. They promote their discipline, engage with the cross-government community and keep up to date with industry changes.

Main Duties
• Lead the content design team on the creation and continuous improvement of content across multiple channels for both internal business users and clients
• Leads the design and implementation of strategy, directing the evaluation of strategies and policies to ensure business and user requirements are being met.
• Mentoring, coaching and training the content design team and assuring that their work meets the required standards.
• Lead on the design and implementation of a content strategy, which will guide processes, standards and workflows for content development across areas of the business.
• Lead and implement a strategy and set of standards for the transition of service design from Programme to Agency
• Assist in planning content design resource and providing professional support across teams.
