Overview

As a Project Support Officer, you will support our project or business change activity working within one of our projects, change team, or within our Project Management Office. You will play a key role in ensuring that projects and change activity are planned, supported, and co-ordinated to meet the needs of both our clients and colleagues. You will work in line with our values of Dignity, Fairness and Respect to assist in delivering project requirements and governance arrangements.

This post sits under the Business Change Management Unit, a new and growing team of passionate and highly motivated individuals supporting the development and implementation of new products and processes. This is a high-profile and exciting area, with continuing political, public and media interest.

The portfolio is wide ranging, covering internally driven projects, a number of readiness and implementation projects as well as the functions that support the wider organisation such as our Project Management Office, our Change Team, teams that support our Governance and Business Planning.

Our work is cross-cutting and complex so successful candidates will need to demonstrate the ability to deliver results in a changing environment. You will need to respond positively to changing and emerging requirements and support our teams in doing the same to ensure we meet our ambitions. In return we offer excellent training and development opportunities.

Main Duties

• Assist in the delivery of projects and change activities and contribute to governance requirements.
• Contribute to project and change documentation to track progress against plans by securing accurate and timely updates.
• Provide secretariat support for stakeholder meetings, including organising, planning, minute taking and tracking actions.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide support to work streams on day to day activities and other ad-hoc tasks as required.
