Adult Disability Payment Events

Social Security Scotland will shortly introduce Adult Disability Payment. This will provide extra money to help with the costs of living with a disability and or long-term health condition.

Adult Disability Payment will replace the Department for Work and Pensions Personal Independence Payment in Scotland. People with ongoing awards of Personal Independence Payment or Disability Living Allowance for working age people do not need to apply for Adult Disability Payment. We will begin to transfer these awards to Adult Disability Payment from summer 2022.

Adult Disability Payment will launch in three Local Authority pilot areas in spring 2022

• Perth and Kinross

• Dundee City

• Western Isles

This pilot is for new applications only.

We are hosting a series of online stakeholder events to provide information on the key Adult Disability Payment topics, as well as answer any queries.

These events are for stakeholders supporting clients in the pilot areas only. Further events will be held throughout the year.
