Ending the client’s Personal Independence Payment award
When a case completes the transfer process, the client’s entitlement to Personal Independence Payment will usually cease on the day that their entitlement to Adult Disability Payment begins (Adult Disability Payment regs, Sch 2, Part 3, Para 10(a)). Additionally, if the client was paid it one week in advance and 3 weekly in arrears, their entitlement to Personal Independence Payment will end on the date one week after the date their entitlement to Adult Disability Payment begins (Adult Disability Payment regs Sch2, Part 3, Para 10(c)).
