What is a consultation

A consultation is an assessment of physical condition or mental health (Social Security (Scotland) Act 2018, s.13) involving a discussion between a client and a Social Security Scotland practitioner that takes place either in person or via telephone or video call.

A consultation will provide formal supporting information to help a case manager make a decision on entitlement to Adult Disability Payment.
