Overall score for the daily living component of ADP
By choosing a descriptor which has an allocated number of points for each of the activities and adding up the points, you can determine whether an individual has limited or severely limited ability to carry out daily living activities.
You should determine that an individual has:
- limited ability to carry out daily living activities where they obtain a score of at least 8 points and no more than 11 points in relation to daily living component activities, or
- severely limited ability to carry out daily living activities where they obtain a score of at least 12 points in relation to daily living component activities (ADP regs, Reg 8(3))
