Who makes decisions?
Decision makers are employed by the Scottish Government (the Scottish Ministers) to determine entitlement to Adult Disability Payment (ADP) on behalf of the Scottish Ministers.
The Scottish Government has produced this decision-making guidance because they are responsible for decisions. The decision-making guidance is referred to as the guidance in this chapter. The term ‘case manager’ is used in a general way, to refer to anyone who works for Social Security Scotland and makes decisions affecting individuals who have applied for or are entitled ADP.
