There are a number of details that are captured at the evidence stage. They include:
- age group of the person who died
- home address of the person who died (i.e. which local authority area they lived in)
- home address of the client
- funeral location
- funeral date
- type of funeral
- whether the payment is to be made to the client or the funeral director
- whether the person who died had a funeral plan or insurance
- if the person who died left any money in cash or bank accounts (any money that’s immediately accessible and available to the client must be used to help pay for the funeral)
- the award amount
Once you have spoken to the client and the funeral director, you’ll have more information in order to complete the funeral location details and to confirm the funeral plan.
