Child Disability Payment replaces Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for children in Scotland.

It is now open for new applications.

If you already get DLA then you do not need to apply as your payments will be transferred automatically.

If you are the parent or main carer of a child who

- is aged between 3 months and 16 years old

- has had a disability or ill-health condition for 3 months which is expected to continue for at least 6 months

- does not already receive DLA for children from the Department for Work and Pensions - DWP
