Pension Age Disability Payment social media text
Option 1
Pension Age Disability Payment is replacing Attendance Allowance for people in Scotland. The payment can give people extra money if they have:
• a disability or long-term health condition that means they need help looking after themselves or supervision to stay safe
• reached State Pension age
It is also available to people of State Pension age with a terminal illness.
People already getting Attendance Allowance from the DWP don't have to do anything as their awards have already started to gradually transfer to Social Security Scotland.
Pension Age Disability Payment is now open for applications in eighteen local authority areas in Scotland. Find out more at mygov.scot/PensionDisability
