Winter Heating Payment has replaced Cold Weather Payment in Scotland.
It is an automatic, reliable payment of £55.05 paid each year by Social Security Scotland.
Payments will start to be made in batches before the end of December.
Most eligible people will received their payment in January.
Winter Heating Payment is not triggered by the weather and there is no need to apply.
If you're eligible you will receive a letter to let you know that you are getting a payment.
