Adult Disability Payment – Case Transfers
From Summer 2022, Social Security Scotland began transferring the awards of adults in Scotland in receipt of Personal Independence Payment from the Department for Work and Pensions. Some adults in receipt of Disability Living Allowance will also have their case transferred to Social Security Scotland.
Throughout 2022, we held a series of events that provided information to stakeholders about how this would take place.
As this process evolves, we want to continue sharing information with stakeholders to enable them to better support clients.
This free online information event is for stakeholders who support people living with a disability, long-term health condition or terminal illness who are currently in receipt of Personal Independence Payment or Disability Living Allowance from the Department for Work and Pensions.
Note: Content about Disability Living Allowance specifically relates to the transfer process from Disability Living Allowance to Adult Disability Payment for people who were born after 8 April 1948 and who;
- report a change of circumstance to their disability or health condition;
- are in receipt of an award of Disability Living Allowance that is due to end or be renewed after the launch of Adult Disability Payment; or
- have asked to have their award moved to Adult Disability Payment
Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions during the events.
