Social Security Scotland - Carer Support Payment Pilot Event – Stakeholder Event - 26 October

Carer Support Payment will be piloted from the 20 November 2023 in;

  • Dundee City
  • Perth & Kinross
  • The Western Isles

This will be followed by the national launch in Spring 2024.

Social Security Scotland will be hosting a series of events to make sure you and the people you support have all the relevant information about Carer Support Payment before it opens for new applications. This will include how it will be different from Carer’s Allowance and how the service will be delivered by Social Security Scotland.

These events may be of interest to people who provide advice or support to carers, their families and people they care for. For example, carer support organisations, Welfare Rights Advisors, Health and Social Care staff and advocacy organisations. It would also be beneficial for those who work in policy, learning and development and communications teams.

Please note that these events are for stakeholders supporting clients in the pilot areas only and national organisations.
