Child Disability Payment – Special Rules for Terminally Ill Children and Young People information event
Social Security Scotland will be hosting events providing information on the Special Rules for Terminal Illness where we will provide an overview of the new Benefits Assessment Under Special Rules in Scotland (BASRiS) form and process which replaces DS1500 (for Disability Assistance) delivered by The Department of Work and Pensions.
This event is for Stakeholders and partners such as clinicians, hospice support, palliative care supporting families with children who are terminally ill and/or who may be supporting families to apply for Child Disability Payment or completing the new Benefits Assessment Under Special Rules in Scotland (BASRiS) form.
We will outline the support we are putting in place to help ensure the smooth implementation of the new terminal illness definition.
