Child Disability Payment to Adult Disability Payment Client Journey

From Autumn 2022, Social Security Scotland will be contacting clients currently in receipt of Child Disability Payment who may be eligible to apply for Adult Disability Payment.

The eligibility criteria for Chid Disability Payment is different to that for Adult Disability Payment. The invitation to apply letter will include information to support the client to decide when it would suit them best to move on from Child Disability Payment. Clients will need to make an informed decision based on their personal circumstances about the most appropriate time to apply for Adult Disability Payment.
