1. How many people have been offered a job?
2. How many of those were already employed working for the agency directly or indirectly?
3. How many were recruited who will have to be trained?
4. How many people do you have on the reserve list?
5. How much further recruitment is anticipated for the remainder of 2022?

Response

1. How many people have been offered a job?

  • In 2022, up to 6 June, we have completed eight Client Manager Campaigns. From these campaigns we have made 701 job offers.
  • In 2022, up to 6 June, we have completed three Team Manager Campaigns. From these campaigns we have made 78 job offers.

2. How many of those were already employed working for the agency directly or indirectly?

  • Of the 701 Client Managers offered a role 77 were already directly employed by Social Security Scotland.
  • Of the 78 Team Managers offered a role four were already directly employed by Social Security Scotland.
  • Taking a wide interpretation of "indirectly employed" would mean reviewing all applicants who received job offers but were not currently directly employed by Social Security Scotland. This would exceed the upper cost limit for this request as we would require to cross reference the employment histories provided with suppliers of agency workers, contractors and other service providers. As such, we have interpreted your request to apply to only temporary staff working with Social Security Scotland through the Scottish Government Framework for contingent workers [SG Frameworks SP-18-(012, 013, 014, 015)]. No offers were made to individuals falling under this definition.

3. How many were recruited who will have to be trained?

All candidates recruited through the Client Manager and Team Manager Campaigns will be trained.

4. How many people do you have on the reserve list?

  • We have the following reserve lists for Client Manager Campaigns: 188 candidates in total.
  • We have the following reserve lists for Team Manager Campaigns: 28 candidates in total.

5. How much further recruitment is anticipated for the remainder of 2022?

  • As of 6 June 2022 we have current live Team Manager Campaigns in both Dundee and Glasgow which close on 15 June 2022.
  • Social Security Scotland continually assesses a range of workforce planning factors including current staffing levels and the success of previous campaigns when planning recruitment activity. This process is on-going and further recruitment campaigns for Team Manager and Client Managers have yet to be confirmed.
