Information requested

In relation to the document published on the 6th February titled: ‘Transactions over £25,000 - November 2024’. The detail of the postage costs?

I am looking for what was posted and explanation for the cost.

Response

The costs detailed in Social Security Scotland - Transactions over £25,000 - November 2024 cover some of the services provided by Royal Mail including the production of application forms and client notifications and bulk mailings (the letters we send to our clients).

Costs are demand led and can fluctuate for example with new benefit launches or seasonal payments.

Details of Social Security Scotland’s Postal Services contract, currently in place with Royal Mail, can be found on our contract register which is published on Public Contracts Scotland View Contract - Public Contracts Scotland. Additionally, the Scottish Government’s national framework for the provision of postal services details the postal services provided by Royal Mail. This can be found at the following link: Procurement - postal services framework: guidance - gov.scot.
