The number of appeals to the Upper Tribunal for Scotland against decisions of the First-tier Tribunal for Scotland (Social Security Chamber) that Social Security Scotland has supported, and the number it has opposed.

Response
We have interpreted your request to relate to appeals to the Upper Tribunal brought by individuals rather than Social Security Scotland. We neither support nor oppose appeals brought by Social Security Scotland as they are our appeal.
The table below contains details regarding the total number of appeals brought by a client to the Upper Tribunal for Scotland and the number of cases Social Security Scotland opposed decisions of the Firsttier Tribunal for Scotland (Social Security Chamber).

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance Social Security Scotland does not hold the information you have requested. This is because, to date, Social Security Scotland has not supported any appeals brought by individuals to the Upper Tribunal for Scotland against decisions of the First-tier Tribunal. Therefore we do not hold records on this. This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that Social Security Scotland does not have the information you have requested.
