Latest workforce information statistics published

Social Security Scotland workforce statistics covering quarterly data to the end of June 2021 have been published today.

This publication tells us key information like the number of people we employ and the make-up of our workforce.

The total number of directly employed colleagues has risen to 1,244 – an increase of 108 compared to the end of March 2021.

Our total headcount was 1,560, including people working with us as contractors or through employment agencies.

Around 58% of our directly-employed colleagues are female and the most common age group for all colleagues was 30-39.

Over 11% of our colleagues declared they have a disability – a slight increase from the previous quarter.
