Individuals with no legs or no feet
Individuals who do not have legs or feet are entitled to the higher rate of the mobility component regardless of whether they use artificial limbs or prostheses (Scottish Adult DLA regs, reg. 8(2)(b) and 8(4))
The individual may, for example, have been born with no legs or feet or have had their legs or feet surgically removed or amputated. The individual may also have been involved in an accident that has led to the loss of their legs or feet (either in the accident or as a result of treatment or surgery).
