This report covers feedback (complaints, compliments, and suggestions) received by Social Security Scotland since it was introduced on 4 September 2018 until 30 September 2020. It includes statistics for specific benefits (Carer’s Allowance Supplement, Best Start Grant, Best Start Foods, Funeral Support Payment, Young Carer Grant and Job Start Payment), as well as feedback that was not benefit specific.

Social Security Scotland was established in September 2018. Our latest annual report shows that in the space of our first 19 months we’ve taken on responsibility for the administration of seven new benefits and paid more than £540 million in vital support to people across Scotland.

This framework is a co-designed list of measures relating to the commitments set out in Our Charter. Every year we will collect relevant and available information and data for the measures, put it into the framework and then publish the results.
