Scottish Child Payment: high level statistics to 31 March 2023

Applications received and processed since 14 November 2022

Since 14 November 2022:

  • between 14 November 2022 – when Scottish Child Payment was extended to eligible families with children aged under 16 – and the end of March 2023, the number of applications received was 121,750, up from 94,765 applications received in between 14 November 2022 and 31 December 2023
  • of these 94,765 applications received by the end of December 2022, 90,390 (95%) applications had been processed by the end of March 2023
  • of these 121,750 applications received by the end of March 2023, 108,750 (89%) had been processed by the end of March 2023
  • in contrast with the previously published management information, these figures include only full applications received and do not include requests from clients to add children to existing Scottish Child Payment cases
