With regard to recruitment in 2022/2023:

  • Please confirm how many people are on the reserve list for the Delivery Team Manager role?
  • Please also confirm if there are plans to hire more people for this position? And if so when?

Response

Thank you for your request for information regarding vacancies with references SOCSECV13 and SOCSECV14.

All candidates who were successful at interview for the Delivery Team Manager campaign were placed in a merit list based on their performance. The list is used by Social Security Scotland to make job offers to candidates in merit order.

When the resourcing requirement is met, a reserve list is created for those who have passed the assessment but are lower down the merit list. There were 109 candidates who successfully passed the assessment but were not offered a post and who have been notified that they are on a reserve list for a period of nine months.

Social Security Scotland have no immediate plans to hire more candidates for the Delivery Team Manager position. However, this may be subject to change in the future. If there is a requirement to fill further posts these will be offered to candidates on the reserve list in merit order as roles become available.
