The client must have lived in Scotland at the time of their job offer to get Job Start Payment.
They can be living somewhere else now and still be eligible.
To check the client's address, do this:
1. Check the client's address history to make sure that the client was living in Scotland on the date of their job offer.
2. If the address on their application does not match the one on the system, phone the client to confirm.
3. If the address still does not match, ask for evidence.
