Part of Pension Age Disability Payment decision making guide

People who live in certain countries (exported benefits)

A person who lives in the EEA, Gibraltar or Switzerland may be able to receive payment of either Attendance Allowance or PADP (PADP Regs, reg 14). A person in this situation who can show a ‘genuine and sufficient link’ to Scotland may request that their Attendance Allowance award is transferred to a PADP award. Their award will not have been automatically selected for transfer because they will not have a Scottish postcode, so they will need to contact the DWP to ask for their case to be transferred.
