Our Business Plan sets out what we will deliver. The main focus of the Business Plan is our key activities for the year ahead. These are set out as ‘priorities’, with each ‘priority’ detailing what will be delivered to ensure that we continue to make progress against our commitments. More information about our commitments and objectives is available in our Corporate Plan. The Business Plan also includes some information on how we will report on each ‘priority’ and how we will measure the quality of the service we provide to our clients.

Social Security Scotland began taking applications for Young Carer Grant on 21 October 2019. This publication provides on applications and payments for Young Carer Grant from this date to 30 April 2023.

This report covers feedback (complaints, compliments, and suggestions) received by Social Security Scotland since it was introduced on 4 September 2018, until 31 March 2023. The benefits included within the time period covered by the report are: Carer’s Allowance Supplement, Best Start Grant and Best Start Foods, Funeral Support Payment, Young Carer Grant, Job Start Payment, Child Winter Heating Assistance, Scottish Child Payment, Child Disability Payment, Adult Disability Payment and Winter Heating Payment.

Social Security Scotland's Client Satisfaction Survey offers our clients the chance to tell us about their views and experiences of the service they received. The latest summary publication includes responses from clients who had received a decision on an application for Scottish Child Payment, Best Start Grant or Best Start Foods between 1 December 2022 and 31 March 2023. The results are being used to measure how Social Security Scotland is performing and where it can improve.

In this sixth edition of our newsletter, we are sharing project updates, our accessibility offers and news about some research coming up in 2023. Thank you to all of our members who have recently joined, we now have over 5,000 members for the first time. And thank you to everyone who has taken part in our research projects.
