Check the applicant is responsible for the child

This guidance is for case managers. Read this guidance to find out how to check the applicant has parental rights and responsibilities for the child they applied for. For the purpose of this guidance, ‘acting on behalf of a child’ includes receiving assistance on the child’s behalf. The term ‘applicant’ means a person who applies for Child Disability Payment (CDP) on behalf of a child.
