This chapter describes the approach to making determinations on Child Disability Payment:

This guidance is for case managers working for Social Security Scotland. In this chapter, the case manager will be referred to as ‘you’. Social Security Scotland will be referred to as ‘us’ or ‘we’.

Where this guidance refers to engaging with ‘the individual’, this may also include their parent, guardian, appointee or representative, where appropriate.
